POOLE UKULELE PLAYERS- P'UKE

Poole Ukulele Players or P'UKE for short was founded by Bob Caines as a way of getting fellow uke players in the Poole area together. It started in November 2010 and stopped plucking in 2014 at a peak of 80 players of all ages and abilities.

 

We first started in the Foundry Arms in December 2011 but as our numbers grew we moved to The Angel until July 2013. We then moved the the larger King Charles until Jan 2014 but numbers continued to grow and we couldn't fit everyone in.

 

The final P'Uke was held at, Twin Sails Wharf, West Quay Road in October 2014.
